T^unnel

In TUNNEL, two jugglers dream of experiencing a moment of recognition and greatness and make the utopian demand for a poetry-filled society. In their search for this, they face the challenges of revealing their personal ideals, fears and idiosyncrasies to their counterparts. Tunnel tells of the relationship between two people caught between friendship and rivalry, the desire to rise and the fear of falling, about the genius of the impossible and the belief in fantasy.

The two performers act to perfection with juggling balls, a bench, a small box and two boards. They play with and against each other and challenge the audience's imagination and viewing habits with speed, humour and poetry.

Hippana.Maleta are Jonas Schiffauer (DE) and Alex Allison (IE). The two jugglers have been sharing their vision of circus, poetry and performance since 2018. Tunnel is their first joint production, which premiered in 2019 and has been travelling throughout Europe ever since.
